Where the pioneering spirit inspires
They thought that the Matterhorn would never be conquered. But in 1865 British pioneer Edward Whymper was having none of that - and conquered it nonetheless. Seven climbers reached the summit, only three returned. Queen Victoria was not amused and decreed that no further noble British lives should be squandered. And in so doing, she triggered a veritable explosion on the Matterhorn. The true pioneering spirit cannot be held back - not even by the head of the British Empire.
Meetings
A pioneering spirit and a desire for adventure are all well and good, but more is needed for the upward climb. You need a coordinated team, secure support and the right equipment. We take care of all that so that you can spend your time brainstorming, networking and team building. Our “Brainstormer” conference room is equipped with the latest technology, with space for up to 40 attendees in the 75 m2 room. While you devote yourself to soaring to creative heights, we look after your more down-to-earth well-being with our superb catering, by following our maxim of ‘mens sana in corpore sano’!
Corporate Events
It’s the same every year! Where shall we hold the firm’s Christmas do? Where should we celebrate all those birthdays and corporate events and - oh yes - there’s the matter of weddings too. At home maybe? Boring! Tell us what you want to celebrate and how, whether you want only Susan, Henry, Babs and Paul to be there, or should perhaps invite Uncle Charles, Granny, Aunt Alice and the whole crew. The rest you can leave in our experienced hands.
Private Dining
Your work team is winning kudos and you need to celebrate. Or maybe rich old Aunty Beth is about to celebrate her 85th birthday. Or, perhaps you belong to an exclusive private club that holds classy celebrations and you believe that what happens in private should stay private. Our private dining room for twelve is just the right size for intimate gatherings in a stylish setting. We have created a harmonious atmosphere by successfully combining British chic with modern design. The cuisine, too, combines traditional methods of preparing meat, fish and vegetarian dishes from the charcoal grill with its own original slant. All served with exquisite wines from Switzerland, France and Italy.
Wine Box
What could be better than sitting with a glass of wine discussing the day’s adventures in pleasant company? A selection of the finest wines produced in Swiss and European vineyards awaits you in our Wine Box. We welcome groups of up to fourteen people for events, wine tasting and philosophical discussion deep into the night. After which you can peacefully fall into your soft and comfortable bed, because in the morning ... there will be no regrets! Nothing that a hearty English breakfast will not put right! With perhaps a Bloody Mary to help.
